Fair trade hoodies
Submitted by Steve on Tuesday, 2 December 20084 Comments
Om Padma of Cornwall produce a nice line in Yoga tops, a print run of fairly traded hoodies printed using waterbased ink. The brightly coloured hoodies are printed using an opaque water based screen printing ink which is 90% bio degradable, the pigments used to create these vivid colours are too strong to enable the discharge printing method. The hoodies are organic cotton in conversion from epona who also produce a good range of fair trade T shirts.

these are pretty fresh, we would def be interested in stocking them at hoodiepeople.com, as we are now on the hunt for more fresh eco and solid hoodies. I checked the site and didnt see the one with the cool print on them though.

Good to see some organic hoodies, are the numbers of suppliers increasing at all?
I have discovered talking about water based inks and printing techniques is a great way to kill a conversation at university.

Hasan This is a massive range of hoodies you have, we print this design for a local company, the link is in the post if you need to get in touch with them, thanks for your comment.
Roy It is great news you are now able to pick up the signals a person gives when they are no longer interested in what you are saying, I am just sorry you could not pick up on my glazed expression this summer. Thanks for spreading the word about water based printing though, I suspect it is the minute details that kill the interest.
They just can’t handle the difference between coarse and fine screens or the extra curing time with water based inks.
