Transatlantic Row

Another attempt is being made by Andy Clark to row the North Atlantic, this time accompanied by Pete Lumley a photographer from Mousehole. This is hopefully third time lucky for the sevenoaks Atlantic challenge, which has not been so lucky on previous attempts. The two rowers are planning a quiet send off from New York, they will row past the scilly isles in favour of Mousehole, where they hope to be greeted some time in August.

Water based inks

We are presently sampling a new range of waterbased inks, we are always looking for the ink that does everything, the ink that uses no solvents or plastics, no hazard signs on the tin. It seems that the UK and America committed almost entirely to plastic inks and their developement in recent times. Heat transfer printing

What would we do without our plotter! time and time again demand for a multi colour print on just a couple of T shirts is the request. We were always a little wary of going down the transfer route as this is where the business actually started from, and assumed the same problems with transfer printing would still exist, things have moved on from the 70’s and 80’s, the improvements in transfer technology have been huge, the whole industry transformed entirely in those years we weren’t looking. It has …

experiments with polyester T-shirts

No it is not organic, but it is recycled, and recylable. It is difficult to way up the pros and cons for a none scientist like myself, but technical micro fibres for t shirts is something we have been looking at, and sublimation is the none toxic process used to decorate polyester T shirts. There are possibly issues with static, but the problems of holding moisture under the fabric (SWEAT!) are dealt with by a technical weave. The moisture wicking T shirts are cool in the summer and will last …
