It is turning into another very busy month at Advertees, and the blog is being neglected terribly, we are seeing some really nice jobs going out of the door unrecorded as we pull out all the stops to meet our deadlines. Our job conversion rate to water based inks is higher than ever, and the response from customers is great. There are very few light coloured T shirts that leave our workshops printed in plastic ink now. We cannot see any reason to print plastic ink on to white T …

It seems Cool Earth has found itself at the centre of much controversy and debate. Recent campaigns aimed at increasing awareness about the importance of the rainforest, and the rapid rate at which it is being plundered, generated interest on a massive scale, and some people are upset by their approach. Our opinion as T shirt printers is perhaps not worth that much, we support what cool earth are trying to do. Preventing rainforest from being destroyed.

Well this was supposed to be a big announcement on the blog at the time of hatching, but now more than a week has passed before we have found time to post a picture of the Advertees new additions, and they have wings already. The next time I update on their progress they are more than likely going to be laying or crowing. It is great to have them around, names are as yet to be decided.

Green GoFors go Global!

Just to keep you updated - the green GoFors are a group of Cornwall College students who are studying responsible tourism and are keen to go for carrying out good green deeds!  Our first green activity was the beach clean, we are off to Fifteen today to discuss creating an activity sheet to go on the back of the kids menus with a green theme relating to responsible behaviour on the beach - in September …

It has been a week of broken boundaries at Advertees, as we break all our previous records for T shirt printing production, poultry, cattle, and foxes have taken advantage of us being too busy to look outside the factory. They have found their way into places they shouldn’t be. Perhaps I should have made the effort to attend the Royal Cornwall Show and check out all that is new in fencing.

The royal Cornwall Show is under way! but sadly I can’t see myself making it down there, nothing to do with the rain! It is just busier than ever and not enough hours in the day. There is now a fox taking an interest in our chickens, we chased him off today and made lots of noise and he was gone. Needless to say the chickens retired early tonight.

Although not ideal in all situations, and the ink a real nightmare to work with at times, water based screen printing can be extremely satisfying. This month has seen a big increase in jobs produced with water based inks, some customers have even changed their original ideas to suit the process. Companies buying Promotional t shirts for the Royal Cornwall this week have been taking the greener option too, with both Okarma and Earth Positive T shirts doing well.
